Can I do this with the folder rename tool?

Hi, I have a bunch of audio files need sorting and I’m trying out the Jaikoz demo.

I’d like to sort my files in the following folder structure:

/[Audio Format]/[Bit Rate]/[Artist]/[Album]/[Track] [Title]

The last bit, from Artist on, seems fine, but I can’t get Audio Format or Bit Rate. For the format, the closest seems to be the ‘format’ mask, but that gives an unweildly ‘Libflac 0.01213124blahblah’ readout, rather than the simple ‘FLAC’ or ‘MP3’ I’d like.

Incidentally, why do ‘encoder’ and ‘format’ share the same mask?

For the Bit Rate, rather the the actual encoded bit rate (usually a random taking fromt he start of the VBR), I mean ‘16 Bit’ or ‘24 Bit’.

The Summary panel gives info such as ‘FLAC 16 bits’, making such a structure tantalisingly close, but the options aren’t very clear.

Can this be done?

Definitely something wrong here. I created:
http://www.jthink.net:8081/browse/JAIKOZ-516
so keep an eye out for updates or add comments if I left something out.

AFAIK, you can’t get FLAC or MP3 or WMA to be it’s own value. I played a bit but couldn’t get it to go. I believe you can only use values that are here:
http://www.jthink.net/jaudiotagger/tagmapping.html
…under the attribute column.

When this issue’s resolved though, you’ll be able to get:
/FLAC 16 bits/[Artist]/[Album]/[Track] [Title]
I was hoping there’d be a way to get the extension into Custom1 or something and then build a mask off that, but I don’t see a way to do that either. :frowning:

Format now fixed for next release so that it shows the value of View Audio/Format instead of the Encoder field.

The bit rate is taken from the VRBI/XING header if exists (for mp3s) so often correct, but unfortunately we don’t seem to store the Actual Encoded Bit Rate anywhere, and hence it isn’t is not an available mask value though I can see why this would be useful. For Flacs the format field does indeed contain this value as you noticed, but it is not part of the format field for all formats., perhaps I need to add another field.

Format problem resolved in Jaikoz 5.0.0 http://jthink.net/jaikozforum/posts/list/6880.page
