First I believe %bestartist% uses the Album Artist if availiable? This is good except when it’s value is “Various Artists” because i would prefer to use Album Artist but I would like it just to use the “Artist” value if Album is set to Various. Is there a way to do this? Or does %bestartist% put for example: “The Black Eyed Peas/Various artists”??? Which I would also not like.

Also for things like $if(%bestartist%,%bestartist%-) why is “best artist” stated twice when it only puts one value in for artist?

Not at the moment , people usually would want to keep tracks from a Various Artist Release together, but on my todo list is to allow a different mask for compilations to non-compilations which wouldprobably solve your problem.

It says ‘If value1 has a value, set value2’, its very simplistic at the moment I would like to support proper scripting in the future.

That would be great because if i want jaikoz to reorganize my music into folders and sub-folders i wouldn’t want 2 songs from two totally different types of music being grouped into “Various”
