Bach 333 - How to match

Trying to match Bach 333 (222 CD) properly. Using v12.3

I’m not trying to do the 222 CD at once, it would be crazy, so I do it in small batches.

If I do autocorrect, it won’t work, or match to single album.

If I try to do a match to specific MusicBrainz release using this
Release “Bach 333 - J.S. Bach The New Complete Edition” by Johann Sebastian Bach - MusicBrainz
It will never match up. Tried to used barcode and same result.

Only way I can do the match up is by Manually correct MetaData FromMusic Brainz.

I get that screen which work well, but I can’t do this song by song, it make no sense.

Any suggestion?

And sometime it does that with autocorrect, it have the good one then change for an other.

If I go by small batch, like 20-30 tracks, and use match Music Brainz by catalog, it will work… but for 5000 track, it make no sense, mostly since it take about 5-10 minutes per 20-30 tracks.

Working my way through the 222 CD, I discovered that if only 1 track is not matching, or have issue matching when doing match by album/barcode/catalog, it won’t map anything.

Would it be possible to match all those who did match and just keep unmodified the few that won’t match for any reason…

Thank

When you use Manual Correct From MusicBrainz it works on the selected songs in batches you seem to be selecting only one song at a time - which is the wrong approach. Then you can select a cell for the right album and then right click and select Match Songs to Selected Release and it will set the same release for all songs in the batch if the release is listed for each song, that could be worth a try.

Another thing you could consider is trying SongKong, download , install and run Fix Songs in preview mode and see how it gets on, no need for a license to try it out. SongKong matching algorithm is slightly better than the Jaikoz one at the moment so it is worth a go and you may find that it does actually match the majority to the mega boxset even if not all and that is going to save you alot of work. And for the ones that it matches to original you are probably only going to have to modify Album, Disc no and Track no field to get it right.

That’s better, but still need to do it 10 by 10, since the manual fix only show 10 row at a time, unless there is a way to show more ?

Yes you can set in Preferences:MusicBrainz:Manual Correct

Thank that work well
