Autocorrect always hangs/gets stuck

Hi,

I bought Jaikoz yesterday, but am having trouble getting much use out of it. I’m not sure if its something stupid that I am doing, or an issue.

I open a folder of files, run auto-correct, but the process always seems to get stuck after processing some files on step 9/11 (Correct Metadata from Musicbrainz).

On one occassion I managed to do about 400, now it seems to be far lower - around 30-60.

If I press cancel, I can run auto-correct again. Each time, the number of filed “being checked” gets smaller… so I imagine I will eventually make my way through them all - but I have thousands.

Any idea what could be causing it?

I often have similar issues, I find the most common reason is non-standard characters in either the file name or in one of the tags… usually if i temporarily close the offending file from Jaikoz the auto-correct will complete.

Also every once in a while it’ll be just a corrupt mp3, a bit harder to track down though…

one way to narrow down the problem is load your files in batches, process fewer at a time.

This should be fixed in Jaikoz 8.1 released today.
