For albums which are “greatest hits or best of” for an artist, what is the best approach for using autocorrect?
If you run autocorrect, it tries to re-label the files according to their original album, not the best of/greatest hits album origin.
Any suggestions how best to proceed?
That isn’t strictly true , by default Jaikoz just matches to the best release based on metadata, but there is a slight boost for original albums because these are normally preferred.
If you dont have too many greatest hits releases for the very best results the best thing is to select each album one by one and use Action/Match to Release/Match Songs to one Musicbrainz Release.
If this isnt practical enable:
Preferences:Remote Correct:Match:Only match Complete Releases
and if your files are already stored one album per folder enable
Preferences:Remote Correct:Match:Group Songs by Folder Only
and try Autocorrect again (make sure you have cleared about the MB Track Id for any songs you have matched previously and want to rematch)
