Any way to get MB_artist_ID without matching the album?

Issue:
Wife really like the “Billboard Hot 100 19xx” songs. This isn’t a release and should never be one, but I make them anyways. Therefore, these will never match in MB or Discogs.

Problem:
Other apps scan in these artists by reading the artist name, when usually they hunt down the MB artist name. This creates duplicates, because the software doesn’t combine text values with MBID values.

What I’d like to do:
I thought Scripter may be of help here but it doesn’t fetch externally. I wish there were an Action>Match to Album>Match Artist to MB Artist command, or something similar.

That way the artists would all point to the same pile of albums, instead of splitting them up between two of the same artist. Am I missing a feature? Is there a way to do this?

If you run AutoCorrect From MusicBrainz on a folder that does not represent an album, it should do song only matching whereby it only updates song fields not album fields, e.g updates title and artist but not album or track no

If you only want it to update the MB Artist Id you could add all other fields to MusicBrainz:Format:Never Modify these Fields

and all fields to Remote Correct:Discogs:Never Modify these Fields
