First, great product. Trying to fully understand it. Is there a documentation PDF?
Second, a question. After making a copy of my full music library, approximately 5k songs ~24 gb of music, I click the note button to get the Acoustic ID (puid). After letting that run & finish, I follow it up with “Auto Correct”. Everything seems to work pretty well. Album names, song titles, new album art imported. All seem to be corrected. I save those results.
I’ve tried this three times. Each time I do it, I get some problem files. With the problem files Jaikoz seems to rename or parse the original file to a “tempxxxx.mp3” file name (with xxxx being a series of digits). The original file name will stay in the original directory as “originalname.mp3” but the file size of the original file (based on name) will be reduced to ~400 bytes and missing all of its tag attributes.
The temp file retains some attributes such as album name, artist name, etc. and a file size similar to the original before running Jaikoz. It won’t play, however, I have tried.
If I rerun Jaikoz against the processed/saved files, it will show the problem files as originally named in an error window indicating they are corrupted or not audio files…but list them with original file names, artist names, song names, etc. It says there are more, but only first 30 are shown. An “OK” button closes the window.
Each time I run Jaikoz against the same set of files (I.e., when I start with a fresh copy of the Music folder not yet processed with Jaikoz) this happens, but to different files each time.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?
