I have one question about AmpliFind analisys (retrive PUID) and tags.
When I analyze FLAC file with GenPUID 1.4 it writes those tags:
ANALYSIS
FINGERPRINT
MUSICIP_DATA
MUSICIP_PUID
When I analyze FLAC file with Jaikoz it writes only:
MUSICIP_PUID
Can someone explain me the difference here?
The FINGERPRINT is the raw fingerprint data for the audio, the MUSICIP_PUID is the track identifier given for that fingerprint. Two encodings of the same song may have slightly different fingerprints, but they will be similar enough to be allocated the same fingerprint.
ANALYSIS and MUSICIP_DATA are used by AmplFinds now defunct MusicIP Mixer application.
MUSICIP_PUID is the only piece of data that is useful to Jaikoz for matching your songs so that is all that is stored.
