acoustic id found, Music brains fail

Hi,

sorry i have an additional question and hope somebody here in the forum can help me understand.
I added a couple of files which i know belong to a specific artist and album. i had no metadata available for any of the songs. Jaikoz did find an acoustic id so i tried to match to the Music brains database. No matches were found so no metadata was updated.

Is there a way to update the metadata from the acoustic id as well. It should have this information stored somewhere or do i have to add the metadata manually?

If a song has an acoustic Id it means it is in the AmpliFIND database, to match to the Musicbrainz db, somebody needs to have associated the AmpliFind id with the Musicbrainz id.

At the moment we just use data from the Musicbrainz db, the AmpliFFind Db is not that good. However whan yo have a song with no metadata that matches AmpliFInd database but not Mb, then that data would be worth having.

So we are planning to take advantage of the AmpliFIND db for getting song titles, artists and possibly album names.

in the meantime you can try to use MusicIP Mixer from http://www.amplifindmusicservices.com/what/downloads.php
There is a function “Fix Tags”, which tags you songs eventually.
This depends, if the song which is analyzed before with MusicIp Mixer had the right tagging information.
