Earlier this year I run into the article that the creator of mp3 are retiring the format, it has been out for so so many years.

So, I also started to phrase out my MP3 collection and migrate to AAC format, but I’ve just noticed that Jaikoz doesn’t support it atm.

I think it is an important feature for Jaikoz, so it keeps up to date to the audio format evolution.

What do you guys think?

The reason they are retiring it is simply because mp3 patents are expiry

When do the MP3 patents expire?

We do support AAC as a .mp4 or m4a file, I wasnt really aware that .aac files were very common but I need to look at that.
