a way for Jaikoz to store the info it has collected on files?

Hi, i have a collection of about 18,000 songs that i want to streamline (uniform naming, fill in missing id3 info, add embedded album art, etc). After goring through the reviews and such i settled on Jaikoz and bought it yesterday. I have been playing around with it and the learning curve seems to be steep (just because there are soooo many options, a good thing) so I have been comming up with questions.

One of the first things i am trying to figure out is if J can just remember the files it loaded last time? Having it load up 18,000 files each time takes up quite a bit of time.

Also, i work in development (ie develoing countries, Azerbaijan at the moment) but am lucky enough to actually have an internet connection BUT its flakey (the connection that is). Is there a way that Jaikoz can download the MusicIP or PUIDs (sorry, i am trying to get the terminology straight) and keep them? Or is it already doing that? (i think i read that it stores the puid in the music file but am not sure of this). I ask because i guess i can select a few files at a time to identify but if they don’t retain the info then i will never get it done (because the connection sometimes cuts out).

Thanks in advance!

It was envisaged that users would load a subset of their collection, fix it and then not load it again. Then move onto the next subset. This is how I would recommend it be used.

I am working on getting Jaikoz to store details of loaded tracks in its internal database to speed things up reloading tracks but this is a major change and is some way off

Yes Puids are stored in the MusicIP Field and written to the file automtically, also when doing internet lookups Jaikoz tries five times before giving up so there is some relience against short hiccups in Internet service.

No internal database yet eh? Oh well, you are right i can do it in chunks i was just hoping for the database option.

As for the PUIDs great, as for the trying five times the “hicups” here can last for awhile.

Thanks for such a quick response!
