Preferences: Save: ID3Tag V2: Text Encoding to use when need to write Unciode ID3v24 Tags

When you have text that cannot be encoded in IS08859 we have multiple options if using I£v24.
We can choose between UTF-16, UTF-16BE and UTF-8 with Text Encoding to use when need to write Unicode ID3v24 tags , if we have already set Default Text Encoding to use when writing ID3v24 tags to anything other than ISO-8859-1 then this option will have no effect because UTF will be used anyway.

IS0-8859-1 uses one byte per character, UTF-16 uses two bytes per character so that it can store a wider range of characters - but requires more space. UTF-8 uses one byte where it can, but two bytes otherwise and is usually the best option.
